Tap In Fee

Residential tap in fees must be paid in full at least two weeks prior to the scheduling of the actual tap. The fee for a ¾” tap with a 5/8" meter is $2862.00 and the fee for a 1” tap with 5/8" meter is $2921.00. The tap fee includes the meter installed inside the house and the connection made to the main line at the road. The customer is responsible for the service line from the street to the house. If the house is more than 200 feet from the road, a meter pit must be purchased from the Authority. The meter will be in the pit and the homeowner will run the service line into the residence from the pit.  The waterline requirement specification sheet is found in Standard Details on the  Forms and Publication tab.

Commercial tap in fees are based on meter size. To determine the correct meter sizing, please complete the equipment portion of the Commercial Application found under Forms and Publications and submit that to the Authority for review. Fees for larger meters are shown in the table below. A radio read fee of $168.00 will be added to all tap fees.
