Billing Information

Most residential accounts are read quarterly and bills are sent the first of the month. We are now sending bills in envelopes. The bill shows usage history and there are notes related to the Authority's water system on your bill. Please read the bill carefully. If you do not receive your bill by the fifth of the month, contact the office and a duplicate bill will be sent. Late notices are sent on the first day of the month following the due date.

Bill rates are based on meter size. Most residential meters are 5/8" X 3/4" and the current quarterly rates are a flat fee of $27.00 plus the usage charges of $5.57 per thousand gallons. We estimate the average quarterly usage to be 17,000 to 19,000 gallons. A bill for 17,000 gallons is $121.69. There is a rate schedule under Forms & Publications on this website showing charges from zero to 100,000 gallons for the 5/8" meter. Please contact the office if you need billing information for larger meter sizes.

Automatic debit is now available for bill payment. There is a form under Forms and Publications on the website that must be completed and returned to the office with a voided check. The customer will continue to receive the bill with usage history but, it will say "Direct Debit Plan - Do Not Pay!" The amount shown in the total amount due box will be deducted from the account you have chosen on the due date. Please remember to notify the Authority in writing if you wish to discontinue automatic debit or if your bank or account number changes. Processing automatic debit requests takes 3-4 weeks so please submit the information a month before your bill is due to be sent.

Some customers choose to have the Authority shut the water off at the curb stop when they plan to be gone for a period of time. There is a $50.00 fee to turn the water back on and someone has to be at the residence when our service personnel are there. The procedure must be completed during our regular business hours Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
