Franklin and Grove Road Waterline Replacement
Boney Construction LLC will be replacing the water line along Franklin Road and Grove Road beginning September 30, 2024 and continuing for approximately 8 weeks. Construction will take place Monday through Thursday, between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., weather permitting. Any residents who will be affected by scheduled water outages will be notified the day prior.

West View Water Authority Announces 4.1% Rate Increase
The Richland Water Authority received a notice on September 18, 2024 that West View Water Authority will be increasing it’s rates by 4.1% for it’s bulk water customers, based on a rate study that was conducted. This means that the Richland Township Water Authority will need to increase it’s rates to accommodate the increase.
The increase will translate to an increase of $0.37 per thousand gallons, with the new rate set at $9.29 per thousand gallons.

Backflow Testing Information
All backflow test submissions should be made through the VEPO CrossConnex web portal. Paper submission forms will no longer be accepted by the Authority office. Your certified tester can download the mobile application or access the web portal at www.VEPOcc.com.
Capital Improvement Surcharge
Beginning in Fiscal Year 2022, the Authority instituted a “Capital Improvement Surcharge” in order to fund its Five-Year Capital Improvement Plan. The capital requirements contained in the budget are based on estimates.
Information About Water Breaks
Because recent water line breaks have, in some instances, caused significant damage to private property, the Authority wants to provide this summary of the legal consequences of such breaks.
